Technical datasheets with sizes and price per 30 metre coil:
Nyflex black polyethylene tubing is manufactured from 100% polyethylene material Suitable for a wide variety of industrial applications.
No plasticisers are included in the manufacture of black polyethylene tubing which ensures that there can be no contamination of the tube contents. Polyethylene tubing does not impart taste or odour to the tube contents.
Black Polyethylene tubing is chemically inert and forms a good barrier to gases, vapour and moisture. It has has an excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals ensuring its suitability for the conveyance of many ranges of substances.
Black Polyethylene tubing is extruded to exacting tolerances from high quality “Low Density Polyethylene” resin.
Black Polyethylene tubing is one of the most used and cost effective of all the pneumatic tube offerings.
It is tasteless and odorless and approved for food contact (except red).
Black Polyethylene tubing is a thermoplastic polymer consisting of long hydrocarbon chains.
Depending on the crystallinity and molecular weight, a melting point and glass transition may or may not be observable.
The temperature at which these occur varies strongly with the type of polyethylene. For common commercial grades of medium- and high-density polyethylene the melting point is typically in the range 120 to 180 °C (248 to 356 °F). The melting point for average, commercial, low-density polyethylene is typically 105 to 115 °C (221 to 239 °F).
